 What can I do with kasiCASH?

Load Digital Cash into your kasiCASH account to store it safely and securely.

Got cash but have nowhere safe to store it? No problem! Convert your physical cash into Digital Cash and store it securely in your kasiCASH account for free. 

  • You can load Digital Cash into your kasiCASH account by converting your physical cash into Digital Rands (DZAR).

    You can buy Digital Rands at all Shoprite, Checkers, PnP, Pep, Ackermans, Game, Boxer, Usave, and Spar stores.

    STEP 1

    From the kasiCASH menu on your phone select 6 and then select “BUY Digital Rands”.

    STEP 2

    Type in the amount you wish to load into your account and confirm.

    STEP 3

    You will receive a Pay@ reference number.

    STEP 4

    In-store ask to make a bill payment with Pay@ and give the teller the physical cash you would like to load and the reference number.

    STEP 5

    Your Digital Rands will be loaded into your kasiCASH account and you are now ready for transacting.

  • Ask your employer to BUY Digital Rands and send them directly to your kasiCASH account. All they need is your mobile phone number.

    Your employer can create a free 6DOT50 account to send Digital Cash directly to your mobile phone.

  • STEP 1

    From the kasiCASH menu on your phone select 1 to BUY airtime.

    STEP 2

    Select your network operator.

    STEP 3

    Choose if you would like to buy airtime for your number or another number.

    STEP 4

    Enter the amount of airtime you would like to buy and confirm.

    Select your network operator.

    Choose if you would like to buy data for your number or another number.

    The wiCode will display on your screen and you will be SMS’d your wiCode to reference in-store.

    In-store, tell the cashier that you would like to make a mobile payment using a wiCode token number and share your wiCode token number when you are asked to pay. (You will be SMS’d your WiCode to reference in-store)

    Enter the amount you would like to send and confirm.

    STEP 4

    The funds will be deducted from your account and the merchant will receive a confirmation of the transfer by SMS.

Can’t use your Digital Cash? Get a Refund.

If you can’t use your Digital Rands in your kasiCASH account, get a cash REFUND at any Pick n Pay store. *Refund rules apply

  • STEP 1

    From the kasiCASH menu on your phone select 4 to REFUND your Digital Rands.

    STEP 2

    Select the reason for the refund and confirm.

    STEP 3

    You will be provided with a refund wiCode. Tell the cashier that you want to make a mobile withdrawal using a wiCode token number. Provide your wiCode token number and the amount you want to refund.

    *Refunds are limited to a maximum cash amount of R1000.00 per transaction excluding a fixed refund fee of R10.00. For example, if you request a refund of R100.00, 110 Digital Rands will be redeemed from your account.
